Going ok so far.  This (probably) the finished opening page without the text boxes and word balloons.

Nothing special just yet, just Tanager and Anemone looking up at the pillar of heaven.  Though, it's such a weird looking thing that I'm glad I'll have like ~10 more pages set in it to explore a more intricate sense of what it looks like up close ( Read more... )

Blah blah illustration training.  Post-illustration critique... composition turned out ok but the eye is drawn to the background, not the inner frame.  Weird divisions of negative and kinda-negative and not-really negative space.

In Teh Webcomic, cherubim are these vaguely mischievous floating cherry blossom-like thingies.  They have long stretchy prehensile nub-fingered hands and hand-feet.  (And a hive-mind.)  They leave trails of light in their wake.  They have some interesting powers that I'll get to in the comic itself.  If you are a seraph and you are supposed to be ( Read more... )
