Make.

Prompt: Make. What was the last thing you made? What materials did you use? Is there something you want to make, but you need to clear some time for it? (Gretchen Rubin)

It's actually sort of hard to work out what the last thing I made was, because I've been bad a finishing/blocking things. But I've finished the crocheting on several shawls, and started blocking last night. Hopefully photos will be coming as I get through those.

I've also got my first pair of socks in progress; I've turned the heel on one, and had to rip the heel back on the second.

And this weekend I picked up my lace shawl again; I have half a mind to try to finish it by the end of the year... which is perhaps overly ambitious, but then sometimes I get a lot of crocheting done at my parents.

There's also the quilt that's in pieces and strips in various ziploc bags. I might've unpacked all of them, but it's not put together yet.

Things I want to make? Oh wow.

There's the purse I want to make from my beautiful piece of Chinese silk; the muslin's done, but I haven't cut the silk.

There're several balls of lovely wool in my yarn drawers that want to be all sorts of things, and other yarn projects that require the right yarn to drop into my lap. (Moar socks! My vision for a different crochet clapois! The yellow/brown yarn from the meet-up! A cardishawl at last?)

There are also a couple of skeins of undyed yarn, and do I want to play with Koolaid there, or branch out into something else?

There's my loom, which requires shopping first -- a sizable order from the Yarn Barn, and then I can weave!

There's my simpler, if stranger, urge to make an ironing board cover.

There's a shirt I'd like to sketch on muslin and work out pattern pieces for, because I love it and want several, but am not ready yet to destroy the original.

And those are the simple, within reach, creative urges. All for the want of time...
