I don't like to talk about myself on LJ, but I don't know how else to approach this subject, so here goes.

It used to be that one of the most common critiques I got on the girls I drew was "you need to make her thinner." ( Art, body image, and trying to navigate between the two. )

The other day on fandomsecrets there was a secret about someone tracing from photographs, asking for crit at anime communities, and frequently receiving responses about how the woman in the picture looked fat and her boobs were all wrong. I bought some gouache.

... I-it's beautiful.
