We came here for a delicious brunch, even though I was equally tempted by the lure of a live band and a tasty looking bar menu had we come here in the evening instead. Eggs Benedict are always a good measuring stick item for me to order and these did not disappoint ( Read more... )

Hot Point is a cute little self-service cafe in a lonely corner of the north side of North Hills. Hubby and I have stopped here for breakfast and lunch and have enjoyed both. Choices include frittatas, omelets, waffles and pancakes to name a few.

This restaurant is attached to the lobby of the General Francis Marion, a restored 1920’s hotel. Lacking really any other options where we could find an omelette close by, we ate here, in what turned out to be the chef’s first experience making an egg white omelet ( Read more... )

It may not sound like it but this place is a great stop to make for breakfast. We came here for a second breakfast after hubby was unable to eat most of what was served at the bed and breakfast for breakfast. I didn’t really think ahead there. Anyhow we stopped ( Read more... )

This is a good place for when you need a quick bagel fix and the squishy soft bagels at Bruegger’s won’t do. It’s disorganized, the ladies who work there always seem confused, the coffee sucks, but they have the closest thing to a NY bagel you’ll find in the area, ( Read more... )

DK is a classic diner with stainless steel exterior and comfy booths. There is the mandatory counter seating as well as a grouchy hostess. I’ve been here a number of times, most of them positive experiences (breakfast specials are the best). Last time I came with mom and sis for ( Read more... )
