Thanks, everyone, for the encouraging words. ;A;)/ I'm gonna pull my ass out of this mess, somehow. Little by little. It's stressful, but I have to just accept my shitty situation and do my best to get it all behind me.

Step one for improving my life is definitely a car. I finally got one-- nice and big. I'm still TERRIFIED of driving (just sitting in the driver's seat makes me freak out and sweat and want to leap out my window sobbing), but I'll get used to it with time. T^T)/ Paying off auto loans in edition is going to extra-suck, but I've got to just deal with it (at this rate I'm going to be living with my mom forever using 100% of my paychecks to pay off debt sobsobsob).

At least my first payday is tomorrow. \(*A*)/ Nnnno idea how much I make per hour, yet, but I guess I'll cross my fingers and know by tomorrow. My job doesn't give me a lot to do, is far away, and is stressful and strange because it's a startup with like 4 employees and we don't know what the crap we're doing and death and destruction looms over us daily, but I love it. My coworkers are awesome, I get to work with computers all day, and the work is genuinely interesting. We work with digital copies of films and do Awesome Things with them. I learned more relevant work skills from fansubbing crap in my spare time than I did in four years of college. :')

I've had to watch a lot of really shitty independent films in the past few days (for a local festival), but our next projects should be more fun and less stressful. It looks like one of our first clients is gonna be anime distributor F_nim_ti_n (oh god i do not want them finding this journal).

T.. this means... that yes, by some bizarre twist of fate, I am going to get paid to watch anime.

COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE REST OF THIS DUMB POST:
One day, R and I were discussing an article I found about Japan's shrinking population. The article mentions some are blaming anime and video games for creating a fantasy so strong that it is keeping Japanese people from getting married and having kids. The game "Love Plus" is specifically mentioned. "Love Plus" is a DS game where you have a virtual girlfriend in real time. You can talk to each other, go on virtual dates, share e-mails, and so on, with a girlfriend in your pocket. Fans claim that they like it better than real women.

So I jokingly told R that he should play Love Plus. .... and then he downloaded it and did. Played it so much that he was sleepless for weeks. Always made sure he made time in his day to meet his virtual girlfriend at their promised meeting time. Says "aishteru" into his DS microphone. W..WHAT HAVE I DONE. ;A(\

My bad influence has also made him into a Hetalia fan. He loves the character songs. Even made a mixi post about England's ridiculous drunk fairy song. It made my day. \(=A=)/

I haven't seen him in awhile, so I decided to buy a plane ticket back to Colorado for myself for my birthday. Gonna go see him on Saturday. I need to pick up more of the stuff I left there and do a few errands on campus, too. Just gotta survive the snow. =A=

this post is like watching two trains collide

really really slowly
