This week went by so fast. What did we do? We went to playdate at the
Family Partnership Center at the school, went for a walk with Beth from the 'hood, went over to Alessandra's, who also lives in the neighborhood, for a playdate with her and Beth. Alessandra's Italian parents are visiting, that was interesting. Her mom made her traditional Italian baby food, which is kind of like vegetable soup. I took Jimmy back to the doctor to make sure his ear was FINALLY better, which it is. We finally got back to Gymboree, which was all about slides this week. Jimmy LOVED it.
Friday we went to La Leche League and I got some advice for how to make the night nursing more bearable. The leader there said it's very common for babies to start waking up more when they are getting more active and learning to crawl and walk... sigh. He used to sleep so good! At least last night he wasn't awake for more than a few minutes each time, and I did get a nice solid chunk of sleep from 11 to 3. At one point he woke up crying and I massaged his hand (don't ask me why that was what I did, it was the middle of the night), and that put him back to sleep. I think he's waking up and crying at night so much because he's teething. This morning during his nap he burst out crying all the sudden and wouldn't go back to sleep. I think it's okay, though, because he's really moving to a once-a-day nap. Now I will have to go to bed earlier since I'm not getting a nap! But, he does have one more upper tooth!!! At least that's what it feels like. I haven't seen it yet.
I also took Jimmy sledding yesterday. I just pulled him around the front yard in the baby sled, but he loved it!!! He was laughing whenever I started running. I'll have to get a picture tomorrow, if the promised snow ever falls!!! Today we hunted through the
Groton Give and Take Shop for a free snow suit, but they had really been picked over from Christmas, so we ended up getting one at the consignment shop. It's hard adjusting to living on one income!!!
Well, Jimmy is napping now, and Tom his playing his not-Zelda game, so I think I'm going to go work on my garden plan some!!!
Here's Jimmy playing this morning!
