Itaipú Hydroelectric Dam is the largest hydroelectric powerplant in the world. It is a binational undertaking between Paraguay and Brazil, across Paraná River. There are twenty 700 MW generators, 10 on the Brazillian side, 10 on the Paraguayan side.
