Setting: The jungle and then central Paixao

The first breathe of the cold air upon getting out was a huge contrast to the humid jungle, causing Sora to shiver and cling tighter to Riku's bodyheat until they were completely out ( ... )

kairi had never been so embarassed in her entire life. first, she felt funny because she was carried out and she felt weak, then a few seconds later .. bam. she was naked. she had desperatly tried to cover up her body, her face a deep, dark red. oh god .. and it was cold. so that wasn't helping the situation. when riku and sora gave her there spare clothes, she took then quite happily, turning her back to them as she placed them on, underneath the quilts and whatnot. when she was finally dressed, she looked mighty .. us, to say the least .. retarded, but at least she was covered and wasn't naked anymore ( ... )

Naminé ran towards Riku, Kairi, and Sora as they crossed the river, slowing as she came near the river's edge. As glad as she was to finally be reunited with Kairi, it wouldn't do for her to slip and fall in. She didn't want to cause anymore problems ( ... )

For some reason, hearing Sora mention shoes jogged Riku's memory. He dug deeper into the rucksack and found Namine's discarded sandals. They still weren't what he'd call appropriate footwear, but with his socks on, they would probably be warm enough for the time being.

"Wait, Kairi," he said, fishing them out of the bag. "Here." He held them out to her. She could still piggy-back on Sora if she wanted to. It's not like Riku cared or was jealous or anything.

"I think Namine's right," he said. "We could all use some food and rest." He eyed the edible contents of their bag dubiously. Riku knew he and Sora could polish the half-spoiled food off no problem, but the girls probably needed fresh salads or something.

The only problem with finding a restaurant or hotel was that they needed money. He knew Namine still had some, but there were four of them now. Damn. Why did it always come back down to money? A hotel room wasn't something he could steal, unfortunatelyThinking this over, Riku watched Kairi get down off Sora's back to put the ( ... )

kairi was warm, and was secretly kind of sad to get off of sora .. because it felt like so long that she had actually felt him ; it made her believe that he was actually real, and that she wasn't dreaming again.

she looked at namine at the mention of sandals, a bright smile crossing her lips. " you really don't mind? " oh, she missed her friend so much .. she gave the blonde haired girl a quick hug before putting the shoes on, walking around a bit to get used to them. standing there, she blinked in surprise when riku suddenly started to take off his pants, and she let out a soft laugh. why was she not surprised? riku always was one to show off his body .. " w-w-well, if you're sure .. "

after she got the pants, she shivered, still a bit cold. it was weird .. she actually missed having her kitty cat fur. oh, she was so silly. she spoke nothing of the chill though, and simply wrapped her arms around her chest.

"Oh? No, not at all," Naminé said as Kairi went to hug her. To tell the truth, Naminé was a little confused. While they had been her shoes, Riku had been the one to offer. But it probably didn't matter. She watched as Kairi walked around in the sandals, testing them out. 'The same size...,' Naminé thought, before her thoughts were cut off as Riku took off his pants. Riku sure was comfortable with himself, wasn't he? Naminé wished she could have confidence like that though, maybe without having to take off her pants in public.

She looked back over at Kairi to find the girl crossing her arms across her chest. Kairi must still be cold. They would have to find some place warm soon. "Well, what's close by?" Naminé asked.
