Naminé ran towards Riku, Kairi, and Sora as they crossed the river, slowing as she came near the river's edge. As glad as she was to finally be reunited with Kairi, it wouldn't do for her to slip and fall in. She didn't want to cause anymore problems.

She nodded to Riku's question, before going over to Kairi. Naminé was so overwhelmed that she didn't know what to say. She nudged the kitten's cheek and drew back quickly, almost as if she was surprised to find that Kairi was really there.

They waited as Riku took Sora up the hole. Then it was Naminé's turn. She had no hesitations, knowing that this would be the last time she would be hauled up by her neck. At least Riku was trying to be as gentle as he could. She sighed as halfway through she changed back, but then she felt like she was falling back. She quickly threw her arms around Riku's neck as he grabbed her waist. Naminé was beginning to wonder if her fear of heights hadn't just been because of the lamb body.

She immediately shivered as they came out into the cold air. She had forgotten how cold it was in Paixao after the heat of the jungle. It would have been nice to have that wool right about now. She looked up to see Riku looking down at her... she blushed and covered her chest. Well, that was a downside to being human. Wait, that was a strange thought. She wasn't human, was she? She grabbed her dress quickly and put it on as Riku went back down to get Kairi. There was no use worrying about that sort of thing now.

She had also pulled on her pants and sweater when Riku brought Kairi up. That was when it occurred to her, Kairi had nothing to wear. Luckily the two boys were able to scrounge up some clothing for her. Still, she would need some girls' clothing soon.

Naminé waited for Kairi to climb up on Sora's back. What could they do now? They certainly couldn't go back to Haja o Que Houver, despite how nice the people there had been. Axel knew that she had been there, and the last thing they wanted was for Axel to find them again. She rubbed her hands together and blew on them, trying to warm them up. "We should find some place to warm up, preferably away from the station." Naminé wanted to get away from there as soon as possible. If Axel found them...

For some reason, hearing Sora mention shoes jogged Riku's memory. He dug deeper into the rucksack and found Namine's discarded sandals. They still weren't what he'd call appropriate footwear, but with his socks on, they would probably be warm enough for the time being.

"Wait, Kairi," he said, fishing them out of the bag. "Here." He held them out to her. She could still piggy-back on Sora if she wanted to. It's not like Riku cared or was jealous or anything.

"I think Namine's right," he said. "We could all use some food and rest." He eyed the edible contents of their bag dubiously. Riku knew he and Sora could polish the half-spoiled food off no problem, but the girls probably needed fresh salads or something.

The only problem with finding a restaurant or hotel was that they needed money. He knew Namine still had some, but there were four of them now. Damn. Why did it always come back down to money? A hotel room wasn't something he could steal, unfortunately.

Thinking this over, Riku watched Kairi get down off Sora's back to put the sandals on. Then a thought occurred to him. "Oh, hey. Do you want my pants?" He unbuckled his belt again without waiting to hear her response. Riku had two pair after all; he could definitely spare one of them to keep his friend warm.
