With a slight lull before a soft start, Hinata awoke, finding the familiarity of her bed replaced by an unfamiliar and distinctly uncomfortable hard surface. This was a very strange experience to have while waking up. That, for some reason, she was laying against stone ground and not the floor of her room. Though, the realization of the actual direness of the situation took several moments longer to occur to the poor girl then the funny fact that it was strange

Surprisingly it hadn't taken very long for Yuffie to figure out the journal device she had been handed. It was a bit like Cid's computer, really. Even though she had no knowledge about that computer either, she had watched the old man tinker with it plenty of times. So she had remained standing near the gate, dividing her time between commenting and looking around when she had to wait for a response.
Apparently there was a Leon who wasn't her Leon and also a Cid that wasn't the Cid she knew. It was all very confusing and she was starting to get frustrated trying the figure it out. A voice snapped her out of it soon enough although it took a moment for Yuffie to realize someone was talking to her

"A city..." Hinata repeated the girl's words back to herself in contemplation. How on earth did she get herself into this? At least, she would be able get some directions from this shinobi who seemed to be very kind, though curiously lacking a hitai-ate. Which while mildly concerning, didn't necessarily mean anything, right?
Hinata turned her attention back towards the older ninja, meekly hoping she wouldn't mind another question "Do you know the way to Konohakure, then, miss?"
"Konoha.." Yuffie echoed blankly before brightening up. "Is that your home? I'm afraid you'll have to get off this world first in order to get back to your own." She would've suggested a Gummi ship if it weren't for the fact that apparently, according to Leon...er, Squall..not-Leon, there was no way out of this world. It was the thing that was troubling her the most. Was it sealed off? If that were the case Sora could surely help.
She would've liked to help the girl some more herself but this wasn't Traverse Town, the town she knew so much about and where she helped those who had lost their worlds. This world was completely unknown to her and she had to settle down herself first to be able to help someone else settle down. Although her first priority at the moment wasn't settling down but helping Riku find Sora. She certainly wasn't just going to shrug the girl off though, she'd help the best she could.
Hinata took a moment to let the strangers words sink into her mind and in the shallow realization that getting home would be much harder then walking or hiring a ship, she bit at her knuckle while lists of places and people she feared she'd never be able to see again, rushed through her head in myriad fashion. The white-eyed ninja felt a building unease in her stomach and her knees losing strength. She didn't want this, she wanted to see everyone again, everyday. She wanted to make everyone proud. She had never known it, but right here and now, being trapped in impossible distance from home was the worst thing that could happen. She wanted to cry, but not in front of a stranger. She wanted to go home, but that wasn't happening

"Oh hey hey, easy there," Yuffie had easily picked up the distress as she wasn't unfamiliar with it. She had gone through the same thing after having lost Hollow Bastion once after all. "Take a deep breath and calm down, okay?" She chided gently as she put a reassuring hand on the girl's shoulder. She knew this wasn't easy but she hoped the girl would calm down a bit.
"I...I'm afraid you can't," Yuffie said as she bit her lip, looking uncertain for a moment before a more happy expression crossed her face again. "But I'm sure we'll find a way out! There's a kid here I know who's really good at getting out of worlds like these," she winked.
