With a slight lull before a soft start, Hinata awoke, finding the familiarity of her bed replaced by an unfamiliar and distinctly uncomfortable hard surface. This was a very strange experience to have while waking up. That, for some reason, she was laying against stone ground and not the floor of her room. Though, the realization of the actual direness of the situation took several moments longer to occur to the poor girl then the funny fact that it was strange.

She wasn’t home! Then, where was she?
Hinata sat up in a flash, looking around for some sort of reminder or clue to suggest where her unfamiliar surroundings could have come from and how she had arrived at them, but found none.

The young ninja had very definitely never seen these city gates or the open city walkways behind them before. She tried to think of just where she had been before, but couldn’t distinctly remember, though she obviously hadn’t gone to bed, as she was fully dressed…

Hinata’s confusion began to mount as the questions and theories in her head rapidly multiplied and it seemed as she might burst before deciding to put an end to it all and investigate the matter thoroughly with her byakugan. The pale young ninja laced her hands together, pointed in front of her face and let her cheeks and forehead crinkle outwards to support the strain and flow of chakra across her eyes. It was like blinking and opening an alien pair of eyes afterwards. Her vision swept in all directions, for miles across, through hundreds of frequencies and across hundreds of feet of city… she peered through all of it.

“It” was at least, real, not a genjutsu or a figment of her imagination, “it” was also full of people and seemed like a nice, though surprisingly clean… and plant-less… and vermin-less city. They must have some sort of regulations, Hinata thought to herself. Though it didn’t matter, she had proven the city safe enough to enter and safe enough to ask for directions back to Konohakure…

Meekly, she deactivated her byakugan and approached the gatekeeper…
“Name”, the man in the booth issued his command with resounding apathy.
“H... Huh?” The man wanted her name? That was an awfully strange request… Though what harm was in a name? Hinata thought and offered, “Hyuuga… Hinata ... I-” “Here you go”, the apathetic man cut her off, passing her a strange brick and some folded sheets of paper, “Enjoy your stay.”
“Oh, no I’m not staying”, Hinata tried to explain… but, she couldn’t help but oblige the next command the man gave her.
“Please move along.”

Hinata turned back and gave a slight whimper of a "but" though it fell on deaf ears, the man had already turned his attention to the next in line and the poor girl was left with no choice to seek help elsewhere.

What Luck though as she should turn around to notice an older female shinobi, surveying the city. She was probably on guard duty, though she was facing the wrong way... Either way, she'd know where they where and the road back to Konohakure.

Hinata approached the guard ninja, swallowed a bit of courage and very politely asked, "Sorry for intruding, but.. what village is this?"

Surprisingly it hadn't taken very long for Yuffie to figure out the journal device she had been handed. It was a bit like Cid's computer, really. Even though she had no knowledge about that computer either, she had watched the old man tinker with it plenty of times. So she had remained standing near the gate, dividing her time between commenting and looking around when she had to wait for a response.

Apparently there was a Leon who wasn't her Leon and also a Cid that wasn't the Cid she knew. It was all very confusing and she was starting to get frustrated trying the figure it out. A voice snapped her out of it soon enough although it took a moment for Yuffie to realize someone was talking to her.

"Village? It's a city! The city of Paixao!" She said as she spun around to face whoever had asked the question. The girl was very obviously another outsider like her, considering the dark hair she had and all. Her odd eyes were a bit unnerving though but nothing Yuffie couldn't handle! Besides the girl seemed very polite so she couldn't possibly be a bad person.
