More imperative than ever (complete! sorry...)

Nov 21, 2006 21:30

Character(s): Karst, eventually NPC(s)? and anyone else who wants to annoy Karst, I guess.
Content: Karst finds Ivan on the journals, gets angry, goes to get a weapon at Folios Weaponry.
Setting: En route from the Actua Are in J7 to Folios Weaponry in J5
Time: After leaving Yoruichi and Marona. Evening-ish
Warnings: Karst being angry, possible violence and threats of violence.

Karst was torn between being stunned senseless and being absolutely infuriated. "You... don't know? You're a JUPITER ADEPT. READ HIS MIND. And--" She abruptly choked off a threat as she realized she didn't know where the boy enemy was. After an awkward silence, she simply ended the comment at that, noting with some slight amusement his apparent confusion at that action.

That settled it. It was now more imperative than ever that Karst get a weapon and start combing Paixao top to bottom, to find Ivan and force him to tell her where his murderous companion was. And possibly kill him anyway once he'd talked.

But some part of her was issuing warning after warning-- Remember what happened, Karst? Even after separating him from his group's healer and axewielder, you only won by a lucky fluke. And then later, when you'd been transformed into a much more powerful, if mindless, being, he won again. Don't push your luck, Karst. You might not be whisked away suddenly this time.

Voices in the head are the first sign of madness, she thought back angrily, and continued on her vengeful quest for a scythe.

It was too bad she'd forgotten, at the time of her first encounter with Ivan, who it was that had boasted, "I am filled with rage, but not so much as to be blinded by it." If she'd remembered now, she might have realized she'd been blinded by it now.

completed, karst
