Bay Trail Redwood Shores

On Sunday D. and I visited the section of the Bay Trail in Redwood Shores, because it was a flat paved trail (gravel trails are way too bumpy for me in my wheelchair), and the breezes off San Francisco Bay would help keep us cool (there was no shade).  Here are some of the pics I took.

Bair Island

On Sunday D. and I wandered around Bair Island, where trails are still being constructed among abandoned salt evaporation ponds being restored back into natural tidal marshes for the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, and I took some pics.

Bayfront Park

On Saturday D. and I returned to Bayfront Park in Menlo Park for a walk, because it had been a long time since our last visit and it had flat trails that wouldn't be too taxing on either one of us.  Here are some of the pics I took.

Oliver Salt Works, 4-11-09

On a clear, cool and very windy Saturday last week, D. and I went to Eden Landing Ecological Reserve in Hayward to go on a tour of the historical Oliver Salt Works.
