Okay, so I've been known to have some pretty odd dreams, and every now and then one really bothers me. Before I get into the dream that I had last night let me elaborate on the odd dreams I've had.
When I was little I used to have a recurring dream that me, my sister, and all the kids I used to get babysat with were being held captive by a witch under a desk at SMU. By the end of this dream, when the witch would let us go I would want to stay because she was really nice, so when we all went down to see my parents I asked my father if I could stay, and I'm pretty sure he let me.
Not so long ago, I had a slasher movie dream. The main character in the dream was a very crazy guy, but that was me, and he killed everyone that was close to him. And somehow he had killed his girlfriend and put her head on his father, so he didn't think she was really dead at first because his father was still alive, walking around with her head on. Then he saw her body and killed his father. Then he snapped out of his killing rage and looked around and saw that everyone was dead, he was in the bathroom at this point, and he took the mirror down off the wall above the sink and smashed it against himself because he was so angry at himself for what he had done, and had all kinds of pieces of mirror stuck in himself. And this is where I woke up, scared to death because I thought this crazy man was on the loose.
Now last night, I had a more realistic dream. It flowed together a little more smoothly than most dreams, and the dreams that do that really bother me, because I'm so used to having very strange dreams that you don't know how you get from place to place. Okay, so at the beginning of this dream, I'm waiting outside a restaurant to get a table with my parents and Scott. While we're waiting they bring this guy out who had been shot 3 times, twice in the chest and once in the stomach, but is still quite alive, and they lay him down on the sidewalk, under an overhanging kind of thing, and I was sitting with him, trying to keep him awake while he waited for his girlfriend to show up. Before she shows up they call us in for our table, I stay outside with the shot guy because I am very scared that he's going to die before his girlfriend gets there, he's making noises and moving like they do in the movies right before they cough up blood and die, and I don't want that to happen. So everyone else goes in to eat and I wait with him. When his girlfriend gets there I have a short chat with her, I don't remember what was said, but then he gets taken to the hospital, and I go with them. I'm feeling very close to the whole situation now. So at the hospital they give us two rooms, not any real hospital, I know, and maybe it wasn't really a hospital, but it was somewhere where they took care of him. One for him, and one for those of us that are going to stay until he's better. So his girlfriend and I are in the extra room, and then her best friend gets there, and the girlfriend leaves to go see her boyfriend. I sleep in the room with the best friend, in the morning her boyfriend gets there, and they let the guy who'd been shot go home, cause he's mostly better. But, my boyfriend is there now, too. And I find out from the best friend that Scott and the guy's girlfriend were actually in bed together that night in a third room, and it wasn't until the morning that she went back to see her boyfriend. So when the girlfriend comes back to the room I had been in, I beat her up like mad. She was quite the girly girl, cause as I'm sure most of you know, I'm not much of a fighter, but she was hurting. Then Scott got mad at me for it, and her boyfriend came in asking what had happened, and she made up some stupid story. I told him what had really happened, and she cried and begged him to forgive her. And Scott, very straight-faced, tried to talk his way out of it. It didn't take too much, I decided that I could try to forgive him, but definitely not forget. But then later in the dream, for whatever reason, I asked him about it, and he had one of those longing faces on and told me how great it was. So, that was it, I broke up with him, and he begged to be forgiven, and I put my foot down, I wasn't going to compete with that longing face. Then I sought her out and beat her up again. Then, somewhere down the road, I ran into her boyfriend again, who had told me that they had broken up, too. And that's where I woke up. It was a horrible dream, and everything made sense, how people got to where they were and whatnot, there were no breaks in the story line (for me, there may have been in my retelling, but I tried).
Anyway, that's all I wanted to write about today, I just wanted to get it out of my head. Sorry to bother you.
