I spent the day at work filling up helium balloons. In total I think I did around 20 of them, and out of that 20 I managed only to burst 3. I felt quite accomplished considering that after the first 4 were done, we actually got a brand new and shiny helium tank in at work - while the old one was taken away. I was excited at first, until I started doing more balloons only to find out that the pressure was a hell of a lot stronger than what I was used to. I found that out the way when the first balloon popped and freaked not only myself and the other assistant out, but also the few customers in the store -coughs-

I DIDN'T MEAN IT! I SWEAR! >.>;;

Anyway, I only ended up bursting 2 more after that and filled up 17 other balloons successfully. One of them was pretty awesome as well since it was a balloon with another balloon inside. It was pretty fancy, and I thought for sure I'd screw that one up, but I didn't \o/

After I'd just burst the last balloon (and scared the crap out of a whole bunch of new customers) it was like:

Me: -just after third and final balloon pops- Ahh sorry about that. It's difficult getting used to the new tank D:
Associate: Yes, keep telling yourself that.
Me: I could be nasty and just get you to do it, you know? ;)
Associate: No thanks. You can have that honour -serves the customer I scared the crap out of while my boss comes out-
Boss: I so totally heard it that time.
Me: It's the new tank! Honest! Besides, bursting 3 out of 20 balloons isn't that bad odds.
Everyone around the desk area: -complete and utter silence before a cricket chirps in the background-
Customer standing with us: I think you just got you answer there.
Me: -shoulders sag in defeat- Well, you guys can do all the balloons from now on.

It wasn't too bad at work last night either (considering I had to work the late shift). Nicole and I did some work for the first half of the night, but for the second half of the night we ended up having races with all the wind-up toys (to which I made this new icon from one of them) we got in to Valentines day. Then I got into chatting with the girl who works at the booth across from our store. She bought me a smoothie ♥ ANYWAY! We started playing with all the sound and motion by pressing the buttons for all the same singing toy at once. It was terrible and noisy, but we continued to do it while laughing - since I never laugh >.> of course, that's not to mention that I got told off by the NYF chick for not going to see her that day at work haha she so makes me laugh.

I did go over and see her today and ended up having my lunch with Nicole (the girl who works at the booth across from the store) - so that was pretty awesome, and we chatted the whole time before I realised I was 5 minutes late back from lunch >.>;;

It's actually been pretty good at work lately. I think I've managed to get rid of a lot of my negative attitude with that 2 week trip away, and I'm glad about it as well. I still have to work tomorrow though, but at least it's with the other Nicole (Gah! There are way too many Nicole's D: )

wind-up fun, work, procrastination ftw, helium
