........They named it Maroubra Bay High School because this high school was situated at Maroubra Bay.
When it was built, in 1959 they filled it with students.

On March 7th, 2009, it will be so much fun again to meet up with fellow ex-MBHS students. (That's Maroubra Bay High School students.)  50 years ago the school was officially opened. I still have the invitation that we had to fill in and take home to our parents.
Not that I was very much involved with the opening ceremony.
