I don't know whether I'm just confused or concerned about the implications of having these borderline obsessive thoughts. Am I analyzing the character for the character or am I identifying with attributes of them and using the character as a vicarious medium for my own journey to self-actualization? I feel it is more the latter. I realize it as I think about it more. That's how my psyche works, after all. Why is there this vulnerability? This vague innocence in naivety where I almost envy the character, yet yearn to aide them in their growth. As I process it, parts of me want to feel that there would be a degree of similarity through comradery. In reality, these characters are either too intelligent or to oblivious for me even in the fabricated world of delusion and fantasy. This is a curious feeling. I can shake it through the mental control techniques I've acquired through my life. These are the same techniques that have both benefited me and potentially handicapped me as an introverted observer of the world around me. I like to believe that it is intelligence. Maybe a specialized skill to have the analytical skills to see things as they are. To see the yet to be seen outcomes from actions that have not transpired. To see them side by side in these parallel universes and weigh the consequences against the benefits. At the same time? I dismiss these thoughts and file them under delusional wishful thinking. Am I intelligent or just another person having dreams of grandiosity. I don't even want what would come with the grandeur if it were to exist. Interesting paths of thought.
