This Week

My managing shift on Tuesday was pretty cool, because I actually felt like a manager. I had to deal with a lot of stuff, and it was pretty interesting. I came home and relaxed for a while, then Jayme came by for a couple of hours to hang out.

School on Wednesday wasn't anything exciting. After classes I had to go copy some 200-something pages out of a book for my COMS114 class that I need to have read by Monday. Jonathan and I went to Hooters that night for some food, and we discussed our upset over Mandisa getting voted off of American Idol (we're such dorks).

Thursday was my day off of everything. I slept in a bit, and then went and did laundry and got some reading done for school. I had a message from Jason's mom asking me if I could meet her at the house to look at the room. She said, "If it doesn't smell like cat, I'll be happy to refund your deposit." I decided not to return her call. I feel that since she didn't call me back for months, I'm justified in not returning her calls. I did send her a letter with the rental laws in it and telling her how since she waited so long she has legally forfeit any claim to my deposit. We'll see what happens.

Jayme came by that evening, and we decided we wanted to go get some chocolate at my work. The downtown restaurant was too busy, so we called up to Rocklin and they said we could come in. We showed up, and it turned out that Chris, Jackie, and Trevor were there eating, so we just joined them. We decided to get cheese instead of chocolate. It was good.

Later that night, Brandon invited Jonathan and me up to Davis to hang out and play beer pong. We went. We were there for just a couple of hours, but it was fun. We discussed hanging out again next Wednesday and playing some more drinking games.

Yesterday we had a math test. It was stupid, but I think I did alright. Work came next, and that was relatively boring. I was serving, which I hadn't done since Sunday. It's going to be weird to get into this flow of serving only on weekends. After work, Jonathan and I grabbed a bite at Kasbah and then played a couple games of Scene It? at my house (he won, of course). I was going to try to get some reading done afterwards, but I decided to just go to bed.

Actually, I should try to get some reading done now before I have to work. Tonight's busier than last night, so hopefully that'll mean there's a lot more money to be made. We'll see.
