This Week

My managing shift on Tuesday was pretty cool, because I actually felt like a manager. I had to deal with a lot of stuff, and it was pretty interesting. I came home and relaxed for a while, then Jayme came by for a couple of hours to hang out ( Read more... )

I thought you didn't do that stuff. ;-)

Can't say I've ever played beer pong, let alone heard of it. A couple of school friends came by and we played a bit of Texas Hold'em, but not for money. The one guy had never played before, so we just showed him the basics and a bit of the strategy of the game. It was fun.

Tonight I'm supposed to help out bartending at a dance. My shift doesn't start until 10, so hopefully I'll be able to stay awake, considering I'm quite often in bed by that time - last night excluded. In fact I stayed up until about 1:00 a.m., but then slept-in until half past 12 this afternoon.

Right now though, I better get some school work done - lessons for next week and a pile of marking from last week. At least next week's only a 4-day school week, and then Spring Break - Yahoo. Hope you have a super weekend. Take care.

Haha I'm actually not smoking in the picture at all ... we were at Brandon's the other night and Jonathan wanted to take a picture with his new phone, and I posed with a hookah that Brandon had in his house. I wasn't smoking anything out of it. ;-)

Beer pong is a game played on a long table. You set up 10 plastic cups per side in the same arrangement as bowling pins. You pour beer into these cups (we usually use three beers per set of 10 cups). You then throw ping pong balls from either side of the table and try to land them in the cups on the opposite side. If you manage to do this, the person on that side of the table has to drink the beer from that cup. It's pretty fun. Haha.

In bed by 10 ... wow. I'm usually working much later than that. I rarely get to bed before 3:30am. Haha.

Time to get ready for work. Take care.

Beer Pong sounds like a rather entertaining game, although I think I'd have to play something with a name more like Sambuca Slam or Smirnoff Smash.

Bartending was kind of fun, even though my shift was changed from a 10 p.m. start to more like a midnight start. I stayed until closing and helped clean up a bit, so I didn't leave until half past 2 - Yawn. I actually don't feel all that bad considering I didn't get to bed until 3 a.m., and I had probably 7 drinks over the course of the evening. They were spread out enough that I never really did get much of a buzz. ;-(

I never managed to get any lessons planned yesterday, so that's what's on the agenda for today. I'll definitely have to try and get some marking done also.

How did your evening go?

Glad to hear you enjoyed bartending, despite the lack of sleep.

Last night went well at work, but I spent a crazy amount of time working on homework and I still have a horrible amount to do. I had a cafe americano at around 3am, which was a mistake because when I did eventually decide to try to get to sleep a little after 5am, I was unable to do so until close to 7am. Then at 8am I was woken up by people that Kyle had here. Ugh. As a result, I really only got about 3 hours of sleep, and I'm like to get no sleep tonight as I have a horrendous amount of homework to get done before tomorrow.

I need to find something to eat, get back to homework, and then go to work. Take care.

I'm glad the management position is going so well for you. Are they actively accepting applications at the MP in Rocklin. I know a superb server looking for work and I suggested the MP. Any more info I can give her would be awesome. Thanks much!

We're definitely accepting applications. They are doing a training class soon, so the sooner she can apply, the better.
