More Than Erebor, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Thorin Oakenshield/Thranduil, betray, regret oxoniensisJanuary 20 2013, 15:41:40 UTC
Full prompt list: betray, regret, sorrow, history, friends, young"Help us!" Thorin shouted. His voice travelled across the plain, even above the roar of dragon-fire and the screams of the dying and dispossessed, the crashing of rocks as his kingdom turned to ash. Above all that noise, his plea reached Thranduil

a most loyal guard, The Vampire Diaries, Damon/Bonnie, huntsmenmagisterequitumJanuary 20 2013, 16:00:10 UTC
He's got blood on him. It's sticky and tacky where she pulls him closer, fists her hands in his black shirt and anchors herself against him. There's none of it on his mouth though. No red coats his teeth or his tongue as she licks her way past harsh lips, learns the shape of his mouth even though she already knows all of it by now

I'm weeping about this. Sheriff Bonnie and her psychotic some-time deputy - I love that they're both huntsmen, cut from the same cloth, and yet she is more powerful than he could ever hope to be.
YES also to the imagery of them both ending up covered in blood.

My favorite thing is that it was her who sent him out to do the killing. He really is the perfect sidekick, and he LOVES being a sidekick, because she's strong, she's brilliant, and she gets off on the attention.
Wishing Won't Make It So, Les Miserables, Eponine/Grantaire, replacementtrillianastraJanuary 20 2013, 16:09:04 UTC
His hand is in her hair, long fingers more accustomed to turning pages and lifting wine bottles than to hard labour. She closes her eyes and it’s someone else embracing her. He pulls her closer and for a moment the person in his arms has golden hair, not brown.
He kisses her roughly and she ignores the scent of wine on his breath, because in her mind the person kissing her smells like everything clean and pure, like nothing she knows.
(she knows the scent of stale wine all too well)
She returns the kiss with equal force, and in his imagination he feels a strong, lithe body under his touch.
(he feels curves in all the wrong places; it doesn't matter who it is, they are always wrong)
Later they lie on the bed together, tangled in the thin sheets, each of them thinking entirely of someone absent.

Eee, I loved this! You really did a great job with the dialogue and the tone of the story - listening to Dr. Schultz talk is awesome :) Thank you for writing it!

This was just AWESOME. I love what you did with this prompt. I love the turn it took. You especially have a gift for his dialogue, by the way. Which is what hooked me immediately. I was hoping someone would write something like this, and I'm just so incredibly happy. Thank you!

Blood caked hand, claws, her town; her rules, damon invading/consuming, sigh. In a perfect world, this would be the show.
Love it!
