Ostara Ritual
I used the Solitary Spring Equinox Ritual from the White Owls Kin section on ADF.org to Demeter, Persephone and Eos. I modified it with the gates opening from the Imbolc ritual I
performed. Also added an offering to Athena as she seems to be watching
over me, like a Patron would. Possibly this is what She will become for
me in the future. It is something for me to keep in mind
Again I offered water poured into an offering bowl placed in front of the
altar. Once more I offered incense to the fire. Instead of kneeling
this time I sat in a chair in front of the altar so that my legs did not
fall asleep.
The ritual went well, I was more comfortable with the format of the COOR.
I read the ritual over before performing it to make sure I was familiar
with it. I stumbled over pronouncing a few names, but was much better
about this aspect then I have been.
The omen was Perthro, Wunjo and Berkano. I interpret this to be a good
omen. As Wunjo encourages a positive reading of the runes with which it
is drawn. There seems to be a focus on feminine energies in the omen.
This is something to consider for me. Perhaps I need to meditate on such
things more, also the ritual was centered around Goddesses and perhaps
this female Deity focus influenced the omen.
