She's a big girl now
Last night Allyra slept in bed for the first time at night. She's been sleeping in it once a day but never at night. She woke up at 5:30 this morning crying and banging on her door and so I put her in her cot to sleep. I was so excited. Last night when I tucked her in her bed I thought this wont last long. I tucked her in a second time and then went and cleaned up. I sat down and totally forgot that she had been in her bed. I remembered when I was going to the toilet an hour and a half later and she was fast asleep laying on top of her blankets. I tucked her in and then took some photo's. She didn't even flinch. I'm so happy, my little girl is turning into a big girl, god I love her.
So much hair on such a little girl, I think I'll be able to plait it soon.
Speaking of beautiful kids Deakyn slept for the first time since he was a baby without a light on. His been afraid of the dark since I can remember. I've tried everything but nothing has worked and so we had let it go. The last few nights I've taken away his lamp and have put this glowing teddy in there instead. It runs on batteries and last night they ran out. It was 9pm when I checked on him and the teddy had stopped. He slept all night with no problems. I said to him this morning
"Guess what you did, you slept in the dark all night, I'm so proud of you!" he says
"I know I woke up and it was dark but I wasn't afraid."
"I said that excellent, you did really good."
He asked me to take a photo of him eating Hungry Jacks last night here it is.
He looks like that giant monster from the muppets with the big teeth that eats everyone.
Man I cant wait to one day have another child, as much as they can drive you crazy they are still the most amazing people you could ever know. I never thought I would say this but I think I could have a whole buch of them. Kids are just amazing.
