Normally I would not make such a comment as this to such a post as this, but I think you will understand that while we just cremated my grandmother, and I do not in any way want any part of something that once was any part of her within 10 miles of me, it is still useful, interesting, and helpful to know that, if I had, it would be bone dust I would be getting.

That's actually sort of awesome. Thanks.

And I fully approve of keeping some of Pippers. He is your baby. I have all my previous pets' nametags on my keychain. It is nice to have them there.

yeah, the most interesting part of the night was talking about how people get more attached to pets than they do to people. in general, other people don't ever try to sleep on your face, or follow you into the bathroom just because they want to be near you.

i will miss pippers so much if he dies before i do, some people have the ashes mixed with concrete or plaster and made into sculpture or pavement stones. that's pretty cool.

I dunno, I'd be a little creeped out by a statue version of my cat that is actually my cat in some strange, solidified way. To each their own, however.

What makes me feel good is the load of videos of him being a goof that I have saved to my computer. He's 20 miles away with my parents, so sometime sI Just watch them and get mushy, when I can't drive over. He's got some time though. Little bugger's only 8! How old is Pippin?

I'm pulling for at least another 10 with Tommy. I don't know what my poor parents would do without him. Hopefully by then they'll have grandkids in the area (*coughNOTMINEcough*), or maybe the oft-sppoken-of but yet-to-appear dog. I'd just really hate for them to be all alone. He gives them such company, and of course I absoultey adore him, he being my own personal cat they they are borrowing and all. But yeah, I'll be a wreck when he goes. Being at my parents' house will never, ever be the same.
