If you didn't know that Jamie's mother loved his father as much as she did it might make you wonder as to who Jamie's father really is. But I think he loved her so much that he could nothing but vow to see to her son the way he has.
10. Oh my gosh it is adorable that Jamie spread the La Dame Blanche thing to “save his virtue.” I love it. He’s so sheepish here and while he’s a man, he’s still young so you get to see that.
That is so amusing and I love the image of him when he admits to it.
11. Damn it! I mean I knew even the first time I read this book that BJR was most likely not dead but for Claire to run right into him and then Jamie having to see him. Damn, what a scene. How could he possibly think Claire would remarry after all drama with her breaking into Wentworth?
I think I first thought, "Well, that was just mean of DG!" And what Jack said is so evident of the evil that he is. Good night I hate that he's still alive, but the suspicion that he had to be was always there despite the lure of Alexander.
12. JAMIE CUT HIS HAIR! NOOOOOO! Jamie’s hair. I love the mere idea of Jamie’s hair. I hate that he cut it. Your reaction?
Surprised for sure, but not really much more than that. It made sense he did it considering his earlier duel and he meant to kill Jack Randall no matter what.
14. Oh gosh Fergus is too cute all the trouble he gets into. I have a feeling Jamie sees himself there. I love when they land from Jamie rescuing him and Fergus asks to do it again.
Yes, it is funny and then Jamie says to Claire later that it was fun, showing yet again that he is still quite young.
15. I love the plan for getting Charles Stuart’s wine but from the beginning I wondered how Jamie would manage on a ship.
Yes. Then the hangman's gruesome telling made me think of what happens later in another book. Gave me shudders thinking of what might have been.
16. BJR damn his black soul. I get that Claire is trying to save Frank and Jamie but she risked her baby. I don’t know how to feel about that. I mean because of that carriage ride she is losing Jamie’s baby which is just sad. This part always upsets me but the next Chapters are worse.
It is just horrible. It's one of those things I go back and forth with constantly. And again with the Janeway headache. If she doesn't save Frank mightn't she go poof herself? She's always so focused on the ring, but I'm always thinking that if Frank isn't born then she wouldn't have been married to him and then she wouldn't have been in Scotland and wouldn't have stepped through the stones. Round and round you can go with that one.
Anyway, I'm just as mad at her as I am at Jamie in the end. They were both being stupid. You can't really fault either of them, but I still want to smack them. And all the while, when you don't know the rest, you wondering how on Earth Bree comes about if, while you're reading all of what led up to this, she's having all the problems she can't lose the baby then you have to reconcile yourself that she must get pregnant again because this baby wasn't Brianna.

11. I thought that too. I remember say out loud. "Why would you do that to him Diana?!" *lol*
12. Yeah well so far I'm the only one outraged that he'd cut those luscious lock. *pouts* I love long hair on men.
15. Oh I know. First, I was like... eewwww... but then I was thinking what is DG telling us? She's not foreshadowing is she... *sniffles* I hate future part.
16. So true but I like to think of it in he way that (Janeway's headache is coming) either way she would have ended up in Scotland. Say she's not married to Frank because he hadn't existed but something else brought her (vacation with other nurse friends?) and she ended up going back anyway. I think the big things will always find a way to happen. My theory.
I know. I was so mad at both of them. It seemed obvious in parts before that the carriage was bothering her pregnancy... went to the stables... so it upset me that she went to the dual but it was equally upsetting to me that Jamie would do this when he has a woman in a delicate pregnancy at home worrying about him. And he had to know she'd do something. We are talking Claire.
I wondered about Bree myself but then it becomes evident what is happening.

LOL I don't know, it depends for me, but for the most part I much prefer short haired men.

Oh, no I totally get that. I love the what if in fiction, I think that's what keeps me writing. It's the beauty of fanfiction too. You can play in an established world and do with it what you want. So I'm right there with you on thinking it'd happen somehow.
I am in San Francisco so I probably won't get much of a chance to listen to more of DiA, but I'll be back at it on Monday after we get back. Just thought I'd let you know if you wondered about an even longer delay.

Cool. You are in SF! I love SF. Vacation? I only live about 3 hours from SF. I don't get there often but it is great. I remember the first time I went... drove over the Golden Gate with my best friend. She totally freaked.
Let me know if you did any site seeing. I love SF.
