I have 3 papers and many a book to read. What better time to post?
Doing laundry was fun today. Partially because I was dressed oddly and received many an odd stare. I did not, however, like the part where one of the dryers started making a noise probably similar to what an industrial sized meat grinder would make if you put some concrete blocks into one. So I had to go outside and read Animal Liberation because I couldn't focus. (aside: my teammate/roommate is going "quasi-vegetarian" b/c of this book!) And then professor Bob came jogging along and it was ironic that I was reading this book he assigned for this course I'm taking with him and I have a paper about the book due this week. (run-on sentence, I know).
So we chatted for awhile about the book and not eating meat and all that. I asked him when he and his fiance were going to have their wedding and it turns out they are already married. Instead of having a real wedding they are just holding a series of parties for their friends and family, two on the East Coast and one in Seattle. God, I love Bob. Maybe I will copy his idea and have less expensive, more fun parties instead of a wedding someday.
Last night many of my teammates and I participated in Relay for Life (a fund raiser for cancer research and whatnot in case you are somehow oblivious to this nation wide event). It was lots of fun and also very sad at times. My uncle's dad is most likely going to pass away very soon since his cancer has spread to his brain. Heartbreaking. I also came up with the frightening thought that my grandma could easily decide to hide any present or future cancer problems she may have. Supposedly she's in remission right now. She never told us she had cancer until she was in remission. A rather secretive one, she is. I love her to pieces and I hope she stays in good health forever and ever.
Right now I'm feeling the physical effects of having stayed awake until 7am. I slept for like 7 1/2 afterwards but I'm still a bit tweaked out. Right now I feel like I have vertigo just staring at this computer screen.
So, in summary, all is well; I am enjoying the end of my senior year. It's bittersweet, but mostly sweet.
My first ultimate tourney of the semester at Penn State this weekend! I am seriously ecstatic. This [withdrawal] is what happens when I miss spring break.
