Harry shows up at Blackgate every day after class. His routine is to get up early, go to work, go to class, and then show up at Blackgate. Every day since his first visit, he's been told the same thing. Mr. Wayne doesn't wish to see him now. Harry nods and then takes a seat. Maybe Bruce will change his mind.
It reminds him, oddly enough, of when Kara was in the hospital. When there were a ton of people living in his home and he was trying to juggle their grieving and raising his infant daughter, and visiting his wife who didn't wish to see him. So, he'd go, every day, sit outside of her room, until it was time to return home. Harry was the one to have her admitted there. Maybe he felt he owed it to her to sit there and wait for permission to be allowed to see the person he loved. Maybe it was just because he loved her. And when you love someone you're willing to sit outside of a locked door and wait for the chance to see them.
Bruce would say that Harry didn't owe him anything. The moment Harry refused to do as he was asked, to sign those papers to put distance between them, Bruce had nothing left to say to him. Harry would say he's not doing this because he owes Bruce for anything. He knows he owes Bruce for a lot. But what keeps him there until he's told visiting hours are over is love. He loves Bruce, and it's that same love that kept him from agreeing to Bruce's demand he save his own reputation at the risk of Bruce's defense.
Harry's dramatic. Bruce was right on the nose about that. He's dramatic and he's stubborn and when he loves you he'll sit in a waiting room at a prison, outside a door at a mental hospital, or outside an office in the penthouse he grew up in, waiting to be allowed in.
