There's something I need to ask you, and if it's a conflict of interest with you being Bruce's lawyer I understand. He wants me to sign some papers regarding OsCorp and to put distance between himself and me. His reasoning is that I don't need to drag my reputation down with him. It's bullshit, in my opinion, and I won't sign the papers. Because to me all it seems like it would accomplish is giving the press even more reason to speculate that he's guilty. It's pretty common knowledge how close Bruce and I are.

Alan, I don't want to hurt his case. I can take him being angry with me and refusing to see me as long as I know I'm not hurting his case. You already have a lot on your plate trying to defend him, and it feels like he's just...
