Friday Morning (8/10/10), started out as it always starts with taking our son to school.

My first call of point that day was to go to the School Secretary and pay for the annual School Fees.

These fees cover the following expenses for the whole school year:

We were watching old family videos the other day. My mother was so beautiful, slim and happy. We were happy kids as well.

My father mentioned how happy my brother was (referring to my older brother). He said “you all had a happy childhood”.

Let’s talk about spelling and Hebrew for a moment.

Hebrew has a number of letters that make similar sounds and therefore spelling mistakes can be easily made unless you memorise the word.

Such letters are:

Aleph (A) - Hay (H) and A’ayin (A’a) these can all make the Ah sound.

Kaf (C) and Koof (K) - Kaf makes two sounds one of them is like the K sound.

So far so good.

After the first day of school, the teacher decided to shift the kids around, so DS was moved from being up front and center, to back and center. The class has 31 kids. They sit, six kids around 3 joint desks.

DS started school today. I'll try post photos later. We met with his teacher on Sunday and she seemed lovely.

I don't think i'll have a problem with lunch because I'm paying for him to stay in the school till 16:30 and that includes lunch (though we pay for it separately and I still don't know how much).
