( Friday was baking day )

Sunday afternoon was lalartu and cussata's wedding. Much fun was had. The wedding was in Leesburg at the beautiful Lansdown on the Potomac Club. Ummm...help me with my geography here guys but does the Potomac actually run ANYWHERE near Leesburg? Guess it really doesn't matter, it was a cool site.

Status 12 inch tier is baked. 1/2 of all the other tiers are baked. 6" and 8" inches top layers are in the oven and the last layer (the 10") is waiting for the cakes currently in the oven to be closer to finishing before I complete the mixing.

LLT woke me up at 7 am and off we went to the store...with a stop by Krispy Kreme. I was reading snippets of Julie & Julia to LLT as she drove. First stop RD for among other things, half a case of butter. The on to Safeway looking for Champagne grapes. Still no word from cussata. The wonderful fuzzface00 has offered to stop by their house (how is it I have an addy but not phone number???) and request that they call us.

I talked to LLT and we decided to take him up on his offer. We would feel a whole lot better about doing the cake (or not doing it) if we have exhausted every opportunity to contact them.

LLT and I have a wedding cake due on Sunday. Last week it suddenly occured to us that we had never gotten an invitation to the wedding, or any information such as the address, time the hall opened for set up, or even a confirmation as to how many people are expected.
