Now for something completely different....no, really!
I stumbled across a Bollywood movie a few weeks ago, loved it to itty bitty pieces, re-watched it repeatedly, and now I have...
*4 Hindi films rented from the library and many more in my queue,
*the Bollywood movie I first fell in love with (Kal Ho Naa Ho) on DVD,
*a rough draft for a KHNH fanfic (*blinks* I haven't done that in forever!) I wrote while bored during a three hour lecture,
*computer files for Bolly icons, wallpapers, movies, and music,
*Hindi songs as ringtones on my phone,
*a slightly better understanding of Indian culture, geography, and celebrities, and
*a massive crush on Shahrukh Khan (aka SRK aka King Khan). More about him later. ;) Saif Ali Khan is also ♥.
Newest obsession? I'd say! My brother popped his head in my room the other day while I was watching and maybe dancing to and singing along with a Bollywood music video on youtube and complained, "Why can't you just be normal!? First all that Sci-Fi junk and now this!!!" :P
Heh. I am well aware that I am a dork, thanks. But you know what? These films are long, entertaining, colorful, often overly theatrical but simultaneously heartfelt, and, most importantly for me, they are such a nice distraction from my currently sucktastic life. Perhaps I just need to have something like this to enjoy right now...
Anyone on my flist a fan of Bollywood? Eh? Please tell me I'm not alone here! *crickets*
