i <3333333 my mom
So, I was just chatting with my mom about my evening--I went to dinner and then to an Agatha Christie play ("The Unexpected Guest"...lots of fun, but definitely not her best) with my grandma downtown--and then asked her what she had been up to.
mom: Nothing much. We ran some errands, walked the dogs, blah blah blah. Oh, and I saw the season finale of Doctor Who!
me: :O What? Sorry? Say that last bit again?
mom: I watched it on the Sci-Fi channel. It was soooooo good! Probably the best episode yet! What happens next?!
me: Ah....welcome to hellthe hiatus.
Y'ALL. My mom watched Doctor Who. Without my prompting. Without me walking in the room, flipping it on, and obnoxiously turning up the volume so she had no choice but to at least hear it. Hell, I even forgot the series finale was on tonight. And she liked it. Hee!
Also? Mom loves Donna, thinks it is unfair to women everywhere that John Barrowman is gay irl, and I suspect that she's a bit of a Doctor/Rose shipper. She watched some of "Fear Her" with me a few weeks ago:
Rose and the Doctor: *hold hands and act flirty*
mom: So, are they lovers then?
me: (*trying to suppress my fangirly grin and answer seriously*)
Well, it's open to interpretation at this point in the series. They haven't said the L-word or done sex or anything yetTheir relationship isn't consummated or anything, but they obviously adore each other.
mom: Yeah, they should be lovers.
In conclusion, my mom is awesome. ♥
