Hi, my name is Esther and I am a general music teacher in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This summer I will be doing my Orff Level 1 certification and I'm really excited about it! I teach grades K, 1st and 2nd, it's an 80% gig but I think it's great. I have had some informal Orff ideas during my college education, and have observed Orff trained teachers but that's about it. A friend of mine who teaches in Missouri has been bugging me about getting certified, but now that I have the time and money to do so, I am. Does anyone have any Orff-based lesson ideas that have worked really well with the younger grades?
