Lost Girl 1x04 "Faetal Attraction"

Alright, so I think I can that Kenzi is my favorite character of the show if only because Lauren resides on a level of crushdom that lifts her above the mere category of "favorite." Or Kenzi can simply be my second favorite character. I just think it'd be really hard to get through the episodes if it wasn't for her (since there's such a lack of Lauren). Which brings me too...
How the heck does Kenzi know Lauren? Really, I'm trying to figure it out in my head. I mean, Bo meets Lauren after she's split from Kenzi and doesn't get her side-kick back until scenes ahead of Bo leaving the lab. So no go there. Bo needs to make a stop by Lauren's lab for the suppressant. Even if Kenzi was there, Bo comes and goes so quickly that there isn't a window for interaction. So I'm wondering when Kenzi met Lauren. Off screen. Cuz it happened. We all know it did! And I'd like to see that other side of Lauren that apparently is very frigid when Bo isn't around (Lauren makes a house call and Bo isn't there? Just Kenzi?). If you can't tell, my mind kind of latched onto this. I'd kill to have someone write that scene. Did they meet at the Fae bar? Another stop by the lab? At the grocery store? (by fembuck)
Anyway, back to Kenzi. She's ridiculously adorable. I love her grey spectrum of morality. And her katana and the awkward swinging and poking and general flailing around. I love her friendship with Bo (and I even got a little giggly at some of their interactions that were more flirtatious than sisterly) and her behavior in general.
The show really needs to stop using the dues ex machina where Bo's in a bind and she flails her hand around until it lands on that ONE USEFUL ITEM. Bo grabs the toaster to reflect the fury's CRRZY!eyes. Yawn. Bo grabs the aerosol can of whatever and sprays it into the fury's CRRZY!eyes. I dunno. I just wanted her to do something a little more interesting that flail her hand around.
I liked Dyson before, but not so much this episode. When he gave the shrink attitude and then likely used his heightened senses to try and belittle her. It was just...

And Lauren, oh Lauren. She was smokin' in this episode. She held herself confidently, spoke smoothly, and still managed to come off as her docterly self or maybe I'm really, really biased. I melted when she started speaking in that low, easy tone, then the fidgeting and the half-second she couldn't find the words in response to Bo's flirting, and then, and then, her tongue doing that thing that it does, and she's just all so unf. I was afraid that the bar scene was going to be Lauren's only scene, so I was happy to see her later working on Olivia.
Anyone else wondering what Lauren's full story is? I know I'm looking closer at her scenes than anyone else's, but I figure the same questions still arise. In this recent episode, Lauren is at the Fae bar, I assume by herself, but also a human. Okay, so maybe she has perks for having a very valueable job within the Light Fae. She's just so well versed in the Fae world, it makes me feel like she's been involved for a long time. Even an insane Fury, though "tied" down, in her lab barely fazed her. I bet she walks through the Fae world with more confidence than some Fae. Anyway, enough of my predictions and projecting. I just hope the show will delve deeper with her. *crosses fingers*
