So I got the first two days out of the way. The (hopefully) semi-interesting bits:
- I got to see S.K.I.N which was awesome, but for the money I paid for premier plus my AX badge I just don't think it was worth it. Again, the me of years ago is happy as a clam but the me of today is more jaded and just.... I don't know. Somehow I'm afraid that this band will become a sellout if it isn't already. It makes me sort of sad in a way... Also, I got annoyed that the band didn't go on for another 2 hours after they were supposed to! Suppose it can't be helped....
- I went to the Anna Tsuchiya focus panel which was cool. She has the cutest damn dimples ever. She was suuuper cuuute!
- I had fun in my h. Naoto garb even if I couldn't find my hat. I also had a lovely boy accompanying me for the whole day in other lovely goth garb - the perfect accessory. Haha.
- It was lolita clothing swap day but unfortunately no one had any h. Naoto to swap and I'm so sick of doing sweet lolita clothing, even kuro-loli (or black loli) is old.
- I ended my night at a tiki bar with a Mai Tai in hand - how awesome is that?
And as for day two, today:
- met up with my friend again, in more goth garb which worked great when I changed out of my Audition costume into a black yukata. I love my yukata as it has dragons and sakura petals. Instead of an obi I wore a black vinyl waist-cincher and shiny vinyl knee-high boots. It was sort of funny that I got more attention in this outfit than any other. I kind of figured my Naoto outfit would have gotten more attention, but not so. The worst part was that I put the kimono in the women's restroom at the con so it was all effed up and the lines of it weren't straight. Boo. But clearly it wasn't too bad.
- My friend waiting in line to get us both Anna Tsuchiya tickets. The best part? There was a guy handing out more tickets as we walked in and we actually used the second set because we liked the seats better. Haha. As for the concert itself, fun, but I dunno, besides the Nana songs I wasn't super impressed. It was very energetic but I don't think I'll go out and buy an album any time soon...
- I actually saw Taliesin today. No really. He does live. Haha.
- I got my picture taken with a huge Gloomy Bear!! Probably the only "cosplay" photo that I'll take all weekend long.
- I got to hang out with soooo many people today from soooo many different walks of life that it was just amazing. I also met a lot of new people too. I felt bad for my friend because I kept dragging him around to see all of my friends who were all over the convention but I don't think he really minded. I can't believe how many people I saw - many of them OBers. It made me super happy to think of all the people I could meet up with at a con. I felt special. Haha.
- I ended my evening with a huge group of people (that just kept growing) having dinner at Yard House. Mmmm. I love their martinis...
And as for tomorrow? Dolls, dolls, and more dolls. Man, I don't know if I have the energy to deal with all the con kids who come to the store because they like BJDs.... Kyaaa!! Hopefully tomorrow won't be too bad but we'll see....
