Should I be worried??!!
I was cooking myself dinner in the kitchen with the balcony door open when I heard what could have been 4 shots and then lots of people yelling from a nearby house/apartment. Now I have let a cop into our building to do who knows what and as I looked outside, my street is blocked off with 'do not cross' tape while cops are doing something (presumably their job) outside. This does not bode well. However I will try to refrain from guessing what happened but, well, as of yet there are no ambulances so it can't be all that bad, right? Wait, I take that back. Now I see a firetruck and an ambulance driving to the other end of the street that isn't blocked off by tape. Greeeat. How exciting. Or not. Whatever works, I suppose.
Interesting to note: I haven't even lived in this apartment complex for a year yet and this type of occurrence has happened on 3 other occurrences that I know of while I have lived here. Maybe this isn't the best neighborhood to live in.... Gee, ya' think?
And now the proof of my jaded nature: I am going back to finish cooking my dinner.
