Balance.

Everything balances out one way or the other.

I had a rather rough day last week. All those tiny little things that could go wrong did go wrong. I still need to buy a new Kindle but at least I finally have my plane ticket home for winter sorted out.

Today made up for that day, I think. Everything worked out quite well and even though I was alone the whole day I was not lonely. I had a yoga class in the morning, coffee to go at a local coffeeshop, and then Improv Everywhere's MP3 Experiment came to the grassy Mall area in front of the Smithsonian National History Museum and I got to play with hundreds of other people doing silly things that our mp3 player told us to do (freeze tag, stare at grass, play Steve Says, blow bubbles!), a hot cuppa tea at Teaism with a book, holiday card shopping at Pulp for Local Business Saturday, and finally I finished my walk all the way home where food was made and my book was finished.

So maybe not the most exciting day ever but it cheered me up from my earlier funk of the week. I needed that, I really did.

improv everywhere, yoga, shopping, travel, books, washington d.c., tea, christmas
