Relaxing day.

Today was a relaxing day, full of errands and chores that I don't always have the chance to do except for on the weekend. Yeah, chores can actually be quite relaxing when you have a full day to leisurely get them done...

I woke up late and didn't manage to make a yoga class like I usually do on Saturday mornings. However, I made up for it by doing a quick yoga work out in my former-balcony-now-attached-mini-yoga-room to my bedroom and plan to do a morning yoga class on Sunday. Gave my hair a deep condition, had a leisurely walk to Whole Foods (about a 30 min. walk each way) for veggies and mostly non-pre-packed foodstuffs in the lovely spring sun, made some garlic fried rice, washed my bed sheets and clothes while reading Cat Valente's Myths of Origin, and later went out for drinks with my housemate. We got to the bar just before the rainstorm hit. I found myself enjoying a Crispin cho-tokkyu hard cider made with sake yeast. It was quite delicious and filled me up along with some thick sweet potato slices with sour cream. Mm.
And now I'm watching the Summer Wars anime (made by Madhouse who also did The Girl Who Leapt Through Time / Toko wo Kakeru Shoujo).
Tomorrow brings coffee with housemates, paint shopping for my former-balcony-now-attached-mini-yoga-room which I've been meaning to do since I've moved in - I'm thinking a pastel purpley blue (lilac?), and perhaps a stop off at the Dupont Circle farmer's market if the rain lets up for some bread, cheese, and apples. This weekend feels like a good calming weekend, something I've needed but haven't consciously thought about doing. I'm pretty happy with the way things are working out.
Right. Back to my movie.
