And off to Bootycon we go!
So Bootycon will officially start tomorrow. As for today, last minute packing, a quick stop to the vegan bakery around the corner (Sticky Fingers, known as a winner from Cupcake Wars TV) which will make Claire happy as they also have gluten-free snacks.
Also it looks like my veggie crisis was averted as the Dame Date restaurant will happily help out the vegetarian and make me some veggie goodies. Yay!
So life is on the up.
I think I'm starting to finally feel like I live here, just a bit. I am making some decent friends and acquaintances and I feel like I can hit up a goth club every weekend and see someone I know, which is pretty fantastic. I'm still a bit of an old grandma in that I don't like partying all the time and on weekdays more often than not you'll find me at home on the net or curled up with a book but at least I have more options now. I think I need to give DC more time - maybe another half year or so...? I dunno. But I am starting to finally settle into this new journey on my life.
