LESVOS, GREECE (part two)

Is it bad of me that I don't want to go home? Because I'm enjoying every hour and every minute of my stay here in Greece. Of course it'll be nice to get home and I cannot live in fairytale-land forever. But I really wish I could stay another month! The delicious food, the mild climate, the lovely atmosphere...

We went on a trip around the island last weekend, and it was excellent. We got to experience three very different cities - Mytilene (the capital), Plomari (lovely beaches) and Agiossos (a mountain village) - more about that trip later on.... Along with lots of photos!!

I'm also trying to learn Greek. My goal is two words a day, meaning app. 60 words before I leave. So far I've learned 37 words (if I include counting from one to ten.... but hey, they're words!), and I'm also working on the Greek alphabet. I've never experienced being so totally lost, language wise, in an European country, and I think that trigged me to learn at least basic stuff. I have a great bilingual (Greek-Norwegian) Greek guy to ask every time I'm stuck (happens at least twice a day... poor guy), so there is a slight progress.

Back home my sister has bought an apartment in Oslo, which I am to rent from August on. It is in Majorstuen, something I'm very happy about since that was "my" neighbourhood for many years. I feel like home there. I'm moving as soon as I get home, and I'm both excited and stressed out about it. I've been getting a really fun job in Oslo (assistant for an artist), which will be part-time, so hopefully I can finish my art history studies at the same time.

Costume-wise, I'm debating on wherther to be more active on making stuff for others again. It's fun to get to try out various projects, but on the other hand I hear all these bizarre stories about how... eh... interesting some customers can be, and I know from previous experiences that it seldom pays off to the full (if at all). What are your experiences on the field? Is it worth it in the end?
