“I just want to try this once. I read powerful witches can really get something going with a Ouija board. Maybe not spirits, but connections.”
“Giles would do a major eyeroll over this. But… okay.”
“So we get to sit holding hands in the dark for a whole evening? I’m in!”
The three sat watching the motionless planchette in growing boredom till-
“I’m getting something. Watch.”
And the pointer moved firmly around the table, spelling a single word over and over.
D-A-W-N.
