I started a MeetUp about a month ago for local area bariatric surgery patients or those exploring that option. Tonight we had our first meetup. It went well. There were six people there--pretty good for a first time and such a specific group. We mostly talked to a 21 year old girl who was considering surgery, and her mom who came with her. I just bit the bullet and ordered a wax warmer and supplies to start waxing my legs and so on at home. I prefer waxing but have been shaving due to the costs associated with it. Buying the supplies really didn't cost that much. Less than having it done twice at the salon, actually. So next week the stuff should come and then I'll be able to control ( Read more... )

I remember getting into one of those hospital gowns and lying on a bed. I vaguely remember them starting to administer the anesthesia... I remember the doctor writing on my butt with a marker.
