This needs to be put in place all through the U.S. ASAP! I fully support anyone and everyone actually doing something to change things in the U.S. Things have to change because it's so out of control and it's obviously not working.
Look at what this is doing to the local economy in Oklahoma. Could you imagine what this would do communities were a large portion of the community is illegal?
Yes something needs to be done with illegal immigration but trying to deport them all would be bad for local economy and also impossible due to the sheer numbers of them residing in the country.
What needs to be done is a process to allow them to become legal citizens more easily. That way the local economy will stay stable and there will be an increase in the amount of money the government gets via taxes.
I agree, but that's wishful thinking. A way to transition ALL the illegal aliens into legal residents would never work, considering the amount of strain already put on the USCIS...
I agree that there is no way to transition all illegal aliens into residency but I think the emphasis should be put there instead of just deporting every one that they come in contact with.
I'm sure it will be fine. Obviously a lot of people have something to hide if they just disappear. Shame on them for not following the laws. I have no patience for any illegal aliens. Throw them in jail or deport their asses.
Clearly from looking at your journal you feel strongly about illegal immigrants and have a very conservative viewpoint. However I cannot fathom that you live in a diverse area, have travelled internationally, speak more than English, or understand the humanity of the illegal immigrant issue in this country.
You can feel strongly about illegal immigrants and NOT be conservative.
All those other points you raise are important to understanding why people would immigrate, but they're all rendered pretty much moot when a person decides to immigrate illegally, and not take advantage of the system that's been set up to allow them legal access to the US.
It's very hard. I'm a Canadian citizen in the US, and I had to pay 3000 + dollars just for the immigration lawyer to file my paperwork, which doesn't guarantee anything
( ... )
My mom works with a Mexican who came here legally...and the Mexican really dislikes all of the illegal immigrants because she actually had to work to get into the country
I agree with your mom's friend. The process is ridiculous and expensive and time-consuming, seeing other people getting the same thing I PAY FOR for free makes me see RED.
That's no excuse. There are millions of homeless people in the United States, who are legal citizens who are desperate too, who deserve our help before illegals.
Not to mention there are millions of service men and women homeless, and people who have worked their whole lives only to find out they are losing their insurance, their homes, etc., yet people want us to help illegals? I don't think so.
i don't support illegal immigration when i see how hard people work to come here LEGALLY, but at the same time, i find this entire thing really a conundrum. we are used to our goods being cheap because the labor is cheap. we always talk about how much illegals and job outsourcing in general cost us, but we don't factor in what they save us by lowering the price of everything we buy.
