This needs to be put in place all through the U.S. ASAP! I fully support anyone and everyone actually doing something to change things in the U.S. Things have to change because it's so out of control and it's obviously not working.

Look at what this is doing to the local economy in Oklahoma. Could you imagine what this would do communities were a large portion of the community is illegal?

Yes something needs to be done with illegal immigration but trying to deport them all would be bad for local economy and also impossible due to the sheer numbers of them residing in the country.

What needs to be done is a process to allow them to become legal citizens more easily. That way the local economy will stay stable and there will be an increase in the amount of money the government gets via taxes.

I agree, but that's wishful thinking. A way to transition ALL the illegal aliens into legal residents would never work, considering the amount of strain already put on the USCIS...

I agree that there is no way to transition all illegal aliens into residency but I think the emphasis should be put there instead of just deporting every one that they come in contact with.

I completely disagree making it an easier process, even my family and friends who finally are citizens after a long time agree.

So hurting local economy while your spending more money on deporting these illegal aliens in the better solution? That's taking money away from the community in two ways through the lose of business and taxes.

This is a new bill and things will have to change in the communities and whatever, but you can't judge things until you give it some time. It may work for Oklahoma. You never know until you try.

I highly doubt it, seeing how almost immediately there was a decrease in local business. Also, an increase in deportation (which is a given with this law) is going to increase the demand on the department financially.

This law went into effect YESTERDAY! I'm going to give it a while before I judge. And that was mexican grocery stores. It doesn't talk about other businesses and how they were affected.

I support everything the state is doing!

The fact that certain businesses are already being effected after one day actually works against the law having a positive outcome.

You can support it, I just can't see it helping the state in any way. Most illegal immigrants will only flee to another state and any time you have a mass exodus like that it hurts the local economy.

I completely understand what you are saying, but it was one day. Of course illegals are going to high tail it out of there! But I'm giving it a chance before making judgments. It takes a while after laws change for things to settle down.
