My 8 year old was going to have a sleepover for her birthday party. It was a big deal, with lots of planning and excitement. Making cupcakes, seeing a movie, getting their nails done, etc.

Dear Mom,

I remember looking at the faded photographs too. I remember seeing the bearded rabbi and his pious wife and being amazed that they were related to me. I remember thinking that they looked peaceful and holy and that I should memorize every wrinkle on their smiling faces.

Here's the scene. OSM has picked up her two children from preschool and is walking to her car. There are plenty of other parents within earshot. We are all walking to our cars.
