Okay, so I didn't get the research position I wanted.  I still don't know about the other two, but seeing as I was supposed to hear last week, I kind of doubt that they're going to work out.  So I have to figure something else.  If I go back to the factory, I'll have another miserable summer, but I'll make $11/hour, which is pretty good, really.  ( Read more... )

I was supposed to hear back yesterday about whether or not I got chosen to do a research project this summer.  It would have paid well (relatively), I would have been at St. Olaf, and most importantly, I wouldn't be at Tufco.  I haven't heard anything yet.  I'm going to give it until tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get it.  I guess it was ( Read more... )

My new goal for the summer (other than preventing my typical descent into despair, because I'm melodramatic like that)?  Learn Italian.  I have a series of computer programs I got years ago that I've never used.  I figure it'll give me something to do.  I have a feeling, though, that my already miserable Spanish skills will be destroyed. 

Exams start for me this afternoon.  English today, Religion tomorrow morning, History on Friday afternoon, and Great Con Saturday morning.  Then, packing, a Great Con party Sunday morning, check out of the room Sunday afternoon, and then a 5 1/2 hour car ride!  I'm going to go talk to Tufco's temp service the week after next to get put on the temp ( Read more... )
