Well I always liked the "If you're going to read this, don't bother." From Chuck Palahniuk's "Choke" and by the same author, "Rant" leads with "Like most people I didn't meet and talk to Rant Casey until after he was dead." I can't remember for the life of me how "Basic Eight" by Daniel Handler starts but I think it also has a good one liner and I'm pretty sure Kurt Vonnegut's "Armageddon in retrospect" has a great first line but I can't remember.
You will note that all four of those books are totally worth reading. They're pretty easy reads as far as language goes, the concepts I would think twice about depending on your intelligence level, age and ability to analyze.
I feel I should take this time to wish everyone a happy super bowl and all sorts of things.
Today is awesome because of several reasons, for me I don't personally care about the super bowl but I'm happy that my grades are still solid, my scholarship essay is done, and my teacher postponed a project until next week and so I don't have to work on it right now. Why is today awesome for you? And why will your Monday be awesome? Because you know it will be.
I hate being a pain about it all but I would really love it if you guys could read my blog "Scales, weighting things out"
Because while I have a pretty good amount of views no one is commenting, which makes it difficult to make new posts. Their is an upcoming post about a childhood favorite book called "The Giving Tree" so you can comment about that too if you would like. On this blog I mention my views on sexuality, politics and race as well as some other things that I don't necessarily talk about on here. Also some posts from here I have taken there and added to and changed a little to incorporate comments that I've gotten from them. So please go there and give me something to write about.
scalesweightingthingsout.blogspot.com/ Of course I'll still be on here for you my lovelies ;D
