oh that's amazingly kind of the insurance company!
not too long, maybe 2 weeks ago, i saw an interesting video on how the corona virus may actually, in total, be saving lives in china. they did this whole calculation thing of how many people daily passed away through traffic accidents and pollution and all that "fun" stuff and now all of those were pretty close to none and if he compared it to the amount of deaths through the corona virus it was significantly lower. of course, there were no hard facts and it wasn't like "go virus" but it was just an interesting theory/thing to watch.

i have been reading and listening to audiobooks, but not one of them is a recommendation to be honest. especially audiobooks have been really nice for me lately :) i'm so glad i discovered them, i was so skeptical about them at first.

I haven't tried much more than you so I don't have any tip. But I know from myself, people around me and my psy's professionnal experience, that the third week have been hard on a lot of people. You're definitively not alone here <3 ( ... )

The short stories are pretty great (they're the original material for the first game)
They're well written and funny (some are a new take on classic tales like beauty and the beast or the little mermaid)
I read through them in a week (maybe two)
The good thing is you can stop at any point and won't be lost

There isn't much world building though (not in a Tolkien way) and much of the witcher extended universe is left unsaid (like the witchers came to be... why we need them...)

hi omona, how are you doing this week? are you alright?
what have you been up to?

my other fandom, Johnny's Entertainment, had a thing this week: they held a 4 day youtube live concert with most of their talents/groups. they even made a 'wash your hands' song that went viral, they made custom masks and they even did a whole segment of Arashi washing their hands the right way and it made it to the front paper lol, even during the live stream, from all the 4 days, they hit the most viewers when they were just washing their hands and it was a good time. the song is extremely addicting, i recommend giving it a listen, it's fun. they did it with all the performing talents, but i'll just leave arashi's here, my friend did a lyrics/karaoke thing for her followers:

I tried to make as many hands puns as possible, but my brain is running on 4 hours of sleep, so be nice 😂

I've been using heimish - Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch & innisfree - Jeju Orchid Eye Cream
I also massage my eye area and do some draining wwith a rose quartz roller
Hydratation is the most important thing imo
sometimes I also use tea bag or coffee ground for a boost

thank you so much for the recommendations! have you noticed a significant difference? my eye area wasn't much of a problem earlier but lately, perhaps because i'm more tired, the lines are increasing so i want to take a bit better care of it.
i'll look into the products you've mentioned, thank you

If you're tired or dehydrated dark circles will show up more
sometimes a small massage is enough, some pressure applied on the inner corner can help a lot but it's a daily thing, no magic wand here

Hi Omona! I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, despite world events.

My week was okay. Like many people I've pretty much gotten fired from my job and this week I was feeling low because of that + the general pandemic shenanigans. Being at home all day can be a challenge for me too, as it makes me feel lazy and unproductive (not that I am though). In general I've been trying to work on my future still and do little household related tasks, while making time to relax. I finished 'My Holo Love' last weekend, and I'm in such a Kdrama mood again! This close to gifting myself a Viki subscription lol. Would that be worth it? Any Kdrama recommendations (old/new, any genre) you guys could give me?

I've also been catching up on Kpop releases and giving male artists/groups more attention. Ong Seung Woo's ep is really gorgeous.

Earlier this week I also stumbled upon the following video: an analysis on YG's marketing strategy with Blackpink and how the group basically revolves around fan self-inserting? I ended up watching this twice in a row ( ... )

i still have to listen to ong seung woo's release, but god he's really handsome isn't he?

i've been watching some blackpink strategy videos on youtube lately for a while as well, YG is just a bunch of b*stards lol.

be careful, stay safe! <3

Idk much about Seung Woo honestly, Gravity was on a Kpop spotify playlist I put on and it really caught my attention. The mini itself is really atmospheric so definitely recommended :)

[some good personal lockdown news]Three weeks in, my mental health was really taking a hit. I had a sudden worsening last weekend/early this week with anxiety attacks while trying to sleep, and talked about it with my psy, my GP and my parents. My GP made me a medical certificate and my father drove to my flat (so I could avoid taking the train/putting all of us at a bigger risk) and now I'm at my parents' house, with them :) It was still hard to fall asleep this night (my pills were in my suitcase downstairs and I was too lazy to get up lmao in some way, it's good that my laziness was bigger than my anxiety for once XD) but I already feel much better. My psy told me that I wasn't alone, and several of her patients are starting to have bigger anxiety symptomes this week.
I hope everyone and their family/friends are doing well and taking care of each other <3 ( ... )

sorry your mental health hasn't been well. i'm really happy you are with your parents now and i hope that you will feel better very soon. please take good care of yourself (i know you are already doing that seeing all the steps you've taken: i'm really proud of you!)
take good care of your parents as well, i'm really glad you have them

how are your parents feeling? are they alright?

Yes and it also makes me realize that I've taken a lot of good steps in the months before - I have been with my psy for more than a year now but I met this GP around three months ago? and she's absolutely essential in my support system. I didn't react on the first day I felt down, but still, five days to react/make the proper changes is really short and a good sign that I have healthier mechanisms in place!

My parents are doing well! They're both healthy and handling lockdown well (being in a proper house with a garden helps). They were relieved they could take me in so quickly and easily.
How is your family doing?

i'm so proud of you and i hope you feel pride yourself, too!

it's so good to hear your parents are both healthy and doing well. my family is also alright! we are very careful and my dad is until further notice still allowed to stay home, but not sure how long he has left, but he's trying his best to stretch it for as long as his boss allows it (she's pure garbage). in his district more than 100 employees are at home willing to work but there's no work because they only operate on special services yet she keeps insisting my dad comes to work, there is no work even what are you talking about, it doesn't make sense. she's so tiring lol

how is the situation with your work at the moment?

do your parents have a large garden?

The weather has been pretty nice here in NorCal oh but of course it’s supposed to rain this weekend. I just want to open my windows and let some good air in.

Does anyone have the problem w having too many options on what to watch and then just not watching anything at all??? I’m staring Hello Again! Which looks like a cheesy Taiwanese drama but I need something to occupy my time that’s easy and fun to watch. 🤷🏽‍♀️
