Ear Troubles
Yesterday I was cleaning Faith's ears and I noticed that the inside of her right ear leather was covered in red oozy sore things. I had noticed her scratching at her ear a bit that day and the day before, but I didn't think much of it. After being suitably horrified, I took her to the vet. I really love the vets here. They are all so nice. I wish they weren't so anti-raw, but I do understand their points (although I'm not sure that the bad points about feeding raw outweigh the good points). The vet said that it was probably an allergic thing, which would make sense since Faith has had oozy eyes from allergies. However, the vet also said that there was a slight chance that it could be mange. The ick factor and its contagion makes me hope it's not mange, but at least that would be something we could treat and have it be over with, unlike the allergies. Anyway, I have some medicine that I've been putting on Faith's ears, and I think that maybe it's getting better. I still need to post some good pictures of her new bikini clipped self!
As I've said before, Faith loves to play more than pretty much anything in the world. She especially loves Joey and Kiwi, the whippets of the household. However, Joey and Kiwi have started a new thing where they gang up on poor Faith, which she understandably does not like. I really ought to get another poodle so that the sides are even.
