PALEO! I missed you :-)

If someone has not been to this comm before, it is AWESOME! Paleo and the other mods provide wonderful support throughout the stressful big bang creation period. I know last year the various challenges helped enormously to keep my story moving, and the support and advice kept my head above water.

I am a writer. Last year was my first spn_j2_bigbang, and it was kind of nerve-wracking, so I was really happy to come here along the way. My very first big bang ever was the 2012 big_bigbang, a 40K cross-fandom bang, where I wrote a 43K J2 non-AU. In 2013 I also completed spn_cinema and wincest_bigbang along with a host of smaller challenges. I'm on AO3 under the same username as here, and all my fic is listed on a masterpost on LJ as well as at AO3 ( ... )

It's so nice to see some familiar names already :). Best of luck to you too! Also, lucky you that you get to see the boys in DC this year! That'll be great, I'm sure.

Hi there, it's good to see you again :). I hope you'll be writing gen this year so there will be at least two of us? But whatever you'll go for, happy writing!

*waves* I'd be happy to answer questions about the American education system, particularly at the community college level although I've dabbled at several others as well. So sign me up as an SME, I guess? (Is there a list?)

Welcome! We will have the signup list up by Monday. I may run a poll first. In the past we did SME signups with comments screened in case folks had areas of expertise that they were willing to help a writer with but did not want to publicly share. However, this meant it was on the mods to keep track of who knew what and match up experts with writers, which was very time consuming and didn't always help in a timely fashion. So we might ask folks if they'd be comfortable with unscreened comments so writers could reach out to experts directly.

Hello, I'm herminekurotowa.

This is going to be my first big bang. I'm a procrastinator so I have more fics in my mind than in my journal. *sighs* I just need a deadline to get something done.

I'm the owner of a fabulous community, musesheaven. It is for writers, artists, and everybody dedicating their time to fandom. You don't need to be a member if you want to introduce yourself, just drop me a note.

I'm a married mom of a 12yo big girl and a seven month old little angel. At the moment, I'm on maternity leave and going to work again in July when the big bang is over.

Even those of us who have done lots of big bangs have far more fics in mind than in our journals ;) That's because plot bunnies rule.

Museheaven... Did you maybe PM over an awesome question intro thing? It would have been sometime last year and this is completely embarrassing, but I received these questions for a new comm, answered them in a file and then RL was harassing me so I've had this FAQ sitting in my short story folder for months while I've been trying to remember where it came from. Could it possible be for museheaven?

A new little one and time to big bang? You are one seriously lucky gal!

Problem is, I'm a plot bunny. So, more plotting than writing. :p

Yes, I wrote to you in, dunno, October? If your FAQ starts with "What's the meaning of your pen name?", then it's my questionnaire. Just send it back, I'm looking forward to it. :)

But everybody knows that moms have so much time, they go shopping all the time, drinking lattes and letting the kids climb over the chairs in coffeehouses. *snickers*

This is my 8th bigbang as a writer and my 9th Big Bang overall I was an artist my first year, when I didn't trust my writing skills, lol.
This is my 6th time doing the spn-j2-bigbang
The thing that excites me most about the bigbang is: I love the sense of community that it brings, the coming together. I love talking to my artist and seeing their interpretation of my work and seeing how they can make me see something different in something I created. I love seeing the different art coming in, the talent in this fandom is unbelievable.
Fun things to know about me: I'm an artist as well as a writer. I very, very rarely write something that's under 50k words and this fic is no different. I write a lot of my stuff by hand first of all, and then get really annoyed when I have to type it up, lol.
I'd like to help out as a banner maker, cheerleader or art beta

Oh, you're so dedicated to do it by hand first!!! I keep half-size spiral notebooks in my purse and tote bags, as sometimes there;s those pockets of time that are handy, but OMG I so hate typing it up after LOL!! (And that's not even counting my lousy typing!)

Ooh yay, you're here! It sounds as if you already started on this year's story - I wish I had too. I can't believe it'll already be your 6th time, though. All those words :).
