It's that time of year again! At the time of this posting author and artist signups for the spn-j2-bigbang oopen in less than a week! So it's time for a new introductions post and some housekeeping.

PALEO! I missed you :-)

If someone has not been to this comm before, it is AWESOME! Paleo and the other mods provide wonderful support throughout the stressful big bang creation period. I know last year the various challenges helped enormously to keep my story moving, and the support and advice kept my head above water.

I am a writer. Last year was my first spn_j2_bigbang, and it was kind of nerve-wracking, so I was really happy to come here along the way. My very first big bang ever was the 2012 big_bigbang, a 40K cross-fandom bang, where I wrote a 43K J2 non-AU. In 2013 I also completed spn_cinema and wincest_bigbang along with a host of smaller challenges. I'm on AO3 under the same username as here, and all my fic is listed on a masterpost on LJ as well as at AO3.

I work part-time at a dojo, where I am also a student, and I am enrolled in a 3-year instructor training program as well. I am married with an 19 yo daughter and 11 yo son. I love to read and write fic! I try to write a lot of different kinds of things - angsty, fluffy, dramatic, PWP, whatever seems right for the story.

I do a fair amount of beta reading, and I may be available for beta work after my rough draft is done. I'll post that when the time comes.

SPN is my primary fandom, but I also write some NCIS fic (Gibbs/DiNozzo). I went to the one and only Boston con in 2011, which had Jared and Misha but no Jensen. (And others, but you know...) I have tickets to attend the brand-new DC Con in May of this year, with BOTH Jared and Jensen, and I'll be meeting up with a number of other fic writers from LJ. Very excited about that!!

So many wonderful challenges and so very awesome that you work at a dojo! It sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy so it's very impressive that you also manage to do big bangs and write in two fandoms. That's also uber exciting about the cons and seeing the boys!

It's going to be a fantastic bang this year!

I have to say my NCIS writing is a quarter of my SPN writing, but I do love my TIbbs :-) Time is often an issue! Plus putting the fandom away in my head when it is dojo time ;-)

It's all due to sammichgirl that I'm going! She did a lot to talk me into it :-D Plus my stepmother lives nearby, so I'll have a family visit after the con itself.
